About The Charity
Here at DJ Moore Lofts, we are incredibly proud to announce that we recently became a sponsor of the incredible tradesmen charity; Band Of Builders. Since early 2016, this extraordinary charity has been helping those apart of the construction industry when times get tough. Whether it be advice and support or help with a hands-on construction project, Band of Builders, aims to unite those in their time of need.
Last weekend, 26 volunteers from BoB completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge. This involved the climbing of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the three tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales all in 24 hours! The same volunteers had previously completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks back in March and April, in preparation for the main event. The total walking distance for the National Three Peaks Challenge was 23 miles (37km), and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). This was twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance!
As tradespeople and construction workers ourselves, this story resonated with us, and we decided to help out. We donated £250 to the National Three Peaks Challenge, becoming a sponsor of the event and receiving a small flag with our logo on, along with the logos of other Sponsors. So far, the charity has raised an astonishing £13k just from the National Three Peaks Challenge.
