About The Project:
Our client planned to convert their restricted loft space into a spacious master bedroom with a dressing area and en-suite. After checking out some of our previous dormer conversions in Leighton Buzzard, they knew they could trust the DJ Moore Lofts team to execute their vision. With space at a premium, creating the loft conversion without interfering with any of the existing property was essential, and we didn’t disappoint!

What We Did:
We began this project by extending the stairs over the existing stairwell, preserving the layout and look of the original property. Our team even upgraded the handrail and newel caps of the entire staircase to match the property’s oak doors. On the outside, the dormer was finished in anthracite cladding with matching fascias and gutters for a modern aesthetic.
At the top of the stairs, you enter a huge master bedroom flooded with natural light, creating a calming and inviting interior. This house is surrounded by fantastic views, so we installed two uPVC dormer windows and a Juliet balcony to admire the scenery from all angles. The client’s king-size bed fits easily against the rear wall, even allowing enough space for a seating area to the side.
The room’s standalone dressing area is equipped with bespoke fitted wardrobes, furniture and LED lighting to create a space that’s entirely unique to our clients. Above the dressing area is a SK06 VELUX® window, allowing plenty of natural light and increasing functionality.
The crown jewel in this conversion is the en-suite bathroom. Equipped with his-and-hers sinks and showers, this space exudes luxury- compounded by the gold finish. The client opted for Crosswater products, including a fitted toilet, so the quality is second to none.
