DJ Moore Lofts were invited over to complete a quote for a lovely couple looking to invest in their bungalow in Wootton and gain another bedroom and large bathroom.
They already had their own plans for a slightly different conversion and were struggling to find a builder they trusted and one that was on the same wavelength as them. After meeting the clients and looking through the plans, it was clear the design was not giving them much storage room and floor space.
What We Did:
We suggested to the clients that for a little more money we could complete a full Hip to Gable Conversion. This design would provide a lot more space and also look a lot better from the exterior with a brick gable wall and plain tiled dormer to the rear.
After the customer had seen our updated designs and ideas, they were happy to proceed with the changes. We handled all the changes and permissions needed and built them a great space.
The Loft has three UPVC Dormer windows along with three GGL MK04 VELUX® Roof Windows, so there’s plenty of light and ventilation.
We were able to build a hobby room for the client with the extra space form the different style of conversion, and a bigger bathroom where we were able to fit the jacuzzi bath they had always dreamed of.
The client also benefited from our trade discount on their whole Bathstore bathroom and saved £600 using our discount account!
The build was fully completed within the 6 weeks we had advised, and they were still able to run their business from home as usual. This was a concern of theirs, but we knew we could deliver a perfect conversion with little disruption and delay.
What Our Client Said:
We started thinking about a loft conversion early last year. We had about 3 people come round but nobody wanted to take it on, partly because we also needed to have a conservatory reroofed and both would have to be carried out in conjunction with each other. We were getting really despondent, then we saw Daniel’s advert and asked him to visit us. What a breath of fresh air ! Daniel came to see us. He gave us much good advice and also gave us the name of someone to do the conservatory roof. Sadly he was booked up with work for 6 months but that was positive aspect with us !
Daniel visited us again prior to the start, for a chat and to tell us what would be happening and the work commenced the last week in October. From start to finish, all was good. Daniel organised everything brilliantly. He was always there to answer our questions. The workmen were great guys, polite, friendly, punctual and hard working. Their work was always to a very high standard.
The conversion was finished in about 7 weeks, well before Christmas.
To say that we are pleased is an understatement, we are thrilled with everything !
We would highly recommend Daniel for his professionalism, organisation and outstanding workmanship all round.
