About The Project
Having seen some of the loft conversions in Biggleswade that our team had completed in the past, this client got in touch with us, hoping we could help them add a huge new master bedroom to their property. Prior to conversion, the loft was already very spacious, but with the addition of a rear dormer, our clients were able to create the bedroom of their dreams.
What We Did:
To begin this project, we needed to establish how the stairwell would be incorporated into the design. Despite having plenty of space available, the existing stairwell was restricted by a water tank. In order to extend the stairs in their existing location, our team repositioned the water tank and installed a new horizontal pressurised system beneath the eaves of the conversion. This allowed plenty of space for the stairs to continue all the way to the top floor and even left room for some extra under-stair storage.
At the top of the stairwell, you’re greeted by a spacious and open master bedroom. It’s 4.8m wide and 8m deep, making it one of the largest bedrooms we’ve ever worked on. The bed is equipped with a custom headboard, creating a lovely feature wall at the rear of the bedroom. Additionally, we’ve added a lounging space to the right of the bed fitted with a sofa and TV, making this a multi-purpose bedroom. The crown jewel in this bedroom is the bespoke walk-in wardrobe with sliding doors, a full-length mirror, and LED lighting.
The ensuite is hidden behind a sliding door in the corner of the room. It’s a gorgeous space, illuminated by a large dormer window. Our clients opted for striking blue tiles that work very well with the neutral marble-effect flooring. We’ve installed an in-built soap box and a wall-hung sink with a cabinet attached for plenty of bathroom storage.
The clients were over the moon with the finished conversion and feel we’ve helped them create the bedroom they’ve always dreamed of.
